Power Factor Correction Calculation

This calculator is commonly used for load listing, load calculations and generator size selection. This electrical tool can calculate " theKW Consumed by a Motor = Absorbed Power x Efficiency x Power Factor".

  1. KVAR consumed by a Motor = KW x tan (cos-1(p.f))
  2. KVA consumed by a motor = (KW2+ KVA2)1/2
  3. Multiplication Factor for Continuous Load = 100%
  4. Multiplication Factor for Intermittent Load = 50%
  5. Multiplication Factor for Stand by Load = 10%
  6. Max. Normal Operating Load = 100% of Continuous Load + 50% of Intermittent Load
  7. Max. Peak Operating Load = 100% of Continuous Load + 50% of Intermittent Load + 10% of Standby Load or Biggest individual standby
  8. Normal Operating Load with Growth Factor = 110% of Max. Normal Operating Load
  9. Peak Operating Load with Growth Factor = 110% of Max. Peak Operating Load
  10. Generator Size on 70% Load Factor = Peak Operating Load with Growth Factor / 70%
