Exam of Seaman Service Book (SSB)

Written test followed by Oral Examination conducted by the Examiners in first week of every month in Pakistan shipping office. You can contact to your country's shipping office or mercantile marine department of the government. For every position, you will need to pass the oral exam, which include technical knowledge, and related to short courses that you will be submitting for making seaman service book SSB. 

The simple and in short procedure of making seaman service book is.

1. Go to mercantile marine department, get application form from there to make new seaman service book.
2. Fill that form and submit form with complete documents.
3. They will inform you the exam date.
4. After the exam, if you will pass, they will give you a certificate and will ask you for medical test.
5. Follow their instruction and complete medical test processes.
6. Submit medical certificates and other complete documents to shipping office of government, of your country and they will give you seaman service book after 2 weeks approximately.
