How to Create a New Project in WinProladder for Fatek PLC Programming?

After downloading the WinProladder software, it’s time to start using the software. Either you are a student of a professional, this can improve your skills and make your concept strong for PLC programming, WinProladder software and ladder logic language. This software is distributed free for all, by Fatek Automation Company so you do not have worry about trail version of registration of this product. Just download, and start. We are going to create a new project in WinProladder software for Fatek PLC programming.

Start the software from the icon of WinProladder on your desktop. A screen will open as below.

This is the opening screen of WinProladder software. There are three options you have now.

1. You can create a new project.
2. You can open an existing project from your storage (computer storage).
3. You can upload PLC program from Fatek PLC, if you have connected your PLC with the computer.

Here, we will create a new project. From the above menu, go to 'File' and click on 'New Project' to create a new project here. If you want to open an existing project you have in your computer or drive, please click on 'Open' and select your project file to open it. When you click on 'New Project'. A pop up appears on my screen as like below.

This information is very important for creating a new project in WinProladder software. You have to write the name of your project in the first option of "Project Name". You can write any name. I write "My First Project" as a name of this project here. The second option is also important. You have to select model number of the PLC hardware you have. Which you will be using for this project. 

For example: I have Fatek PLC FBs 14MAR-2 AC hardware and i will be using this hardware in this project. I will select FBs-14-MA in the Model Number section. 

1. Series FBs
2. Point 14
3. Model MA

When you will select series, point and model number and click on "OK", you can see the complete inputs outputs information and other details such as input frequency range, output frequency range, expansion of IOs of the hardware, and common ports etc. etc..

Then, in the description box, you can write the details of the project. This option is not necessary, but for your knowledge. Some time when you upload a PLC program from any Fatek PLC hardware, you can get idea about the type of programming of the PLC, from the description of the project.

For example, I am creating this project to guide you about the basic functions of the Fatek PLC programming software WinProladder. I am writing this sentence to the description of the informational box. When someone will upload this sample project from my Fatek PLC, he/she can easily get the idea about the project.

In the last, there is a checkbox option of calendar. This will help to recognize when this project was made. I have filled this pop-up provided below.

Now, after completing this pop-up box, you have to click on "OK" button. When you will click on "OK" button, your project screen will open as below, in which you will be writing your project programming.

Here, you have successfully created your new project in WinProladder software. Next, we will be discussing about the main functions of WinProladder software and Fatek PLC programming.
