What is Arduino? | Step by step guide and basics of Arduino Board

Hello and welcome to this article titled "What is an Arduino". Well this is an Arduino as you can see (below), it's a little board that's got a lot of electronic stuff all over it along with a  bunch holes on the sides and a bunch of writing that doesn't  make any sence for the moment.

Also it says made in Italy because  Arduino is Italian. It's named after the town in which it was created and it means brave a friend in Italian. The Arduino is an open-source microcontroller board which probably doesn't mean anything to you. So don't worry being open source means that anyone can write code for it. And microcontroller is a board that provides a platform from which one can use a variety of hardware.

You should know that these are pretty simplistic definitions but that's all you need to know at this stage. In layman's term this means that you can code on this platform and that code will control whatever hardware, you attache to it.

Provided that they are compatible before we get into that let's discuss the most important parts of Arduino. Please watch this video with practical demonstration of Arduino.
