How to Adjust Voltage By Frequency Curve in Delta VFD, Delta VFD Biasing

In this lesson of Delta vfd, we are going to learn about how to Adjust Voltage By Frequency Curve in Delta VFD, Delta VFD Biasing. VFD biasing is used when you want to shift your curve,  it is might confusing for most of the people, but, what do we mean by that, so. This VFD curve is voltage to frequency curve, as we know that control frequency voltage is zero to ten volts, and frequency range by default is zero to fifty hertz.

This is the nominal curve which we have in the drive, at 0 volt, we have 0 hertz frequency. At ten volts, we have fifty hertz frequency. And, proportionally at 5 volts, we have 25 hertz frequency. This curve is by default as shown below.

There are certain parameters which are related with that, which defined this curve, Some of them are by default, are given below.

  1. Pr.03 = 50Hz--Max. output Freq.
  2. Pr.48 = 0%--bias adjustment
  3. Pr.49 = 0 --bias polarity
  4. Pr.50 = 100% --pot. freq. gain
  5. Pr.51 = 0 --REV disable in negative bias

We can use potentiometer as well as an analog card to check this biasing of delta vfd. Please watch this video from below for more better understanding.
